Commercialization drives new scope, scale, and complexity across the network, and requires manufacturing sites, global organizations, and IT systems to work together in new ways.The Associate Director, Project Management Lead for Cell Therapy Business Process Management (BPM Project Management Lead) works with the Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) team to manage and maintain the project management process, tools, and methodologies to support execution of the portfolio of projects and enhancements to enable CTDO late stage clinical and commercial operations.The BPM Project Management Lead contributes to the success of the PPM team by applying a structured project management approach to complex projects that optimizes planning and delivery of the portfolio of projects.
The BPM Project Management Lead is responsible for scoping, resourcing, and supporting delivery of the prioritized list of committed projects from the BPM Portfolio Manager.
The BPM Project Management Lead manages the team of internal and external project management resources, including assignment to programs and projects and hiring and onboarding internal and external resources.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Work cross-functionally with business and IT teams to support Cell TherapyManage team of project managers focused on project and program deliveryOwn BPM project management process, tools, and methodologyEnable continuous improvement of BPM project management process, tools, and methodologyManage execution of project portfolio from commitment through to deliveryFacilitate decision-making within the portfolio management process and escalation to governing bodiesOwn and facilitate the planning forums with partner portfolio teams including the sites and ITGenerate insightful reports and communications to inform a very broad stakeholder community of project delivery progressPartner with other leaders across the Project & Portfolio Management team to determine resource needs for planning and deliveryProvide coaching and guidance to project management team membersRepresent CTDO BPM PPM to vendors, maintain appropriate vendor relationships, and manage vendor contracting processSkills/Knowledge Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Information Systems, Business, Engineering or similar area.8 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical industry preferred).Excellent knowledge of and competency in project management processes, including planning, resource planning and allocation, risk and issue managementExperience with large projects or programs, e.g., rollout of IT systems like ERPAbility to work and drive issues to resolution independently and cooperatively in a diverse groupAbility to provide leadership, guidance and coaching to members of the organizationDemonstrates high degree of executive presence with ability to deliver executive level presentations, challenge assumptions and drive decision makingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProject management certification or designation desiredKnowledge of applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, SmartSheet, Microsoft Project or similar project management software, etc.Ability to travel 10%Division: CTDO Digital Platform Business OpsDirect Reports: YesLocation: Seattle, WA or Summit, NJLI-HybridAround the world, we are passionate about making an impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases.
