GA-CCRi is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Platform team which builds, deploys, monitors, and maintains our streaming geospatial data platform.
Our system handles billions of records a day and houses petabytes of historical information, enabling rich and impactful analytics, and giving users the ability to keep track of the most relevant information right now, or dive into detailed history.
The Platform team’s goal is to support and evolve the architecture for this system while providing development teams the framework to develop and test quality software within it.
Due to the nature of our work being highly collaborative and fast-paced, this role will be primarily on-site at our office in Charlottesville, VA.
Our hybrid policy, available for this role, includes up to one day a week WFH and a minimum of 32 hours on-site, with core hours set by individual teams.

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience Experience writing software in one or more server-side languages (e.g.
Java, Scala, Python, Go, etc.) At least one year of professional software development experience Additional preference will be given to candidates with an active TS security clearance An ideal candidate will have: CompTIA Security certification or willingness to get certified An interest in geo-spatial data and analytics Experience with AWS infrastructure and tooling Knowledge of database technologies (e.g.
