Quality Technician

Balance Staffing.

This is a Full-time position in Fremont, CA posted July 9, 2022.

Openings : 4

Shift : 1st shift / Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00 (30-minute lunch)

Location : Fremont, CA

The QC Inspector is responsible for assembling, testing and burning-in computer systems from components. QC inspector will specialize in inspecting racks in process, determining root cause of the quality problems and work with manufacturing team to come up with a corrective action.

Job Responsibilities
• Install CPU, Racks, Drivers, motherboards, and chassis.
• Tests and provides feedback to QA Engineers. Pay attention to critical details.
• Perform in-process quality checks on subassemblies and finished product.
• When appropriate, must be able to initiate corrective action to prevent nonconforming products from reaching the customer.
• 8D knowledge preferred.
• Record and alert manager of any product or process quality concerns discovered during inspection.
• Utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures.
• Work with other teams to ensure proper quality procedures are in place during the process.
• Adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures.
• Make sure all issues get logged and documented properly electronically.
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum one year of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment/QA position, or related computer hardware assembly or testing experience
• High school/trade school education required; associate degree preferred
• Certification or professional training a plus.
• 5S and lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions, work orders, Bills of Materials, Standard Operation.
• Must be able to operator computer and use basic excel functionality.
