Purpose: To inspire joy with wholesome foods.Values: Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, Determination Position Overview: The Order Selector is responsible for filling customer orders, tracking inventory, and loading and unloading of trucks for inbound and outbound shipment of orders.
These tasks required extensive use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions:Fills customer orders in an accurate and timely manner.
Safely operates forklift throughout the warehouse.
Safely loads customer orders onto trucks under direct supervision.
Keeps warehouse neat and organized.
Escalates errors quickly to supervisor.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Other tasks and duties as may be assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and DeterminationAbility to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Possesses good communication skills both written and orally.Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team in an efficient self-motivated manner.Possesses a good understanding of equipment and would be considered mechanically inclined.
Must become forklift certified and be able to demonstrate safe forklift operation and proficiency.Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.
Qualifications: Qualifications: 1-3 years of previous experience in the food production industry, warehouse, order selecting, and/or experience as a forklift operator preferred.Experience with RF Scanner preferred.Physical Demands: Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 50 pounds.Position may require standing for long periods of time.Works at a fast pace in a warehouse environment, where temperature may fluctuate seasonally.Work Environment: The primary work environment for this position is within the warehouse department.
