AeroTEC’s Program Execution Office (PEO) is primarily involved in developing the strategy for, and managing the execution of all projects AeroTEC works on.
The PEO Division is responsible for taking direction and inputs from our customers, developing program strategy and work plans (schedules, budgets, resource and task management, and customer communication), and creating the road map for the AeroTEC team to follow to meet customer goals.
The Technical Proposal Specialist/Program Leader is at a dual role mid-career to senior level position.
It is expected that at least 75% of the applicants time will be spent on the Technical Proposal Specialist role and will perform the Program Leader role as needed or when time permits.
Technical Proposal Specialist: Lead and coordinate our internal process to produce comprehensive, compelling, and compliant proposals for multi-million-dollar aerospace engineering/test/manufacturing/modification projects (RFI, PPQ, ITT, RFP, RFQ, SOQ etc.).
Integral to the role is the ability to support the assembly and enablement of an engineering pursuit team and subject matter experts to prepare and submit a differentiating and customer value focused response to our customers.
Our customers include startups, established commercial, government, and miliary aerospace organizations and companies.
A successful candidate will understand and be able to navigate the nuances of these different customer types.
This role will work heavily between AeroTEC’s sales, contracts, PEO, and engineering/test/manufacturing/modification teams.
Program Leader Role: Lead large-scale programs with elements of engineering development/design, manufacturing/modification and test.
This position is responsible for driving on time and on budget program delivery while also providing both business and technical direction to multiple cross functional teams.
This is a significant role requiring a high level of technical and program experience.
A successful candidate can rapidly build and organize teams, audit individual contributor work products, develop enabling processes and procedures, and works independently with minimal supervision or management.
This position interacts with senior management and is recognized as a program leader to execute complex programs.
This role requires the significant exercise of independent discretion and judgment in matters of significance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Writing proposals and responding to RRPs in a consistent but always improving fashion.
Working with AeroTECs internal teams to improve Basis of Estimates.
Lead multi-million-dollar programs from inception to closure.
Oversee and guide cross functional groups on projects spanning from concept creation to detailed design.
to manufacturing/modification to testing and certification.
Manage customers to ensure expectations are properly set and always met.
Support the development and management of requirements.
Provide technical guidance and decision making on engineering designs.
Lead design reviews with other technical leaders.
Support the management of suppliers and external design/build vendors.
Coordinate with manufacturing and modification teams and leaders on implementation.
Coordinate with component qualification and aircraft testing teams and leaders on test development and data delivery.
Complete special projects and tasks assigned by manager or department head.
Level Requirements (Minimum): Education Four (4) year degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation).
MBA and/or Master’s degree is preferred.
Other Engineering fields may be considered.
Experience Minimum of four (4) years of aircraft design, development, and test experience.
Minimum of four (4) years of technical proposal development experience.
Must have basic knowledge of aircraft development, modification, and test program programs.
Must have experience managing programs to completion and within budget.

Travel 20% (flying and driving) to various international and domestic worksites may be required.

State driver’s license and clean driving record required.
