Description Computer Courage is a digital agency looking for a talented and experienced Web Developer to join our team. As a Developer on our team, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This person would become a key member of the web development team and will help lead the agency in implementing complex CMS-driven websites that retain a solid focus on user experience and design. Responsibilities Lead development on several smaller projects and collaborate with other team members on larger projects Write clean and spec-conformant code for PHP, CSS, HTML, and Javascript Help estimating the level of effort for both net-new development work Communicate with internal team members about technical requirements Perform regular code reviews with other members of the development team Requirements 0-2 years of experience developing fullstack web technologies Experience with PHP 7, MySQL, ES6 Javascript, HTML5, and modern CSS preprocessors A solid understanding of modern development approaches and the ability to write clean code Experience with git and continuous integration workflows Strong background in custom WordPress theme and plugin development Ability to read, understand, and debug code in an efficient manner Knowledge of security concepts (XSS, CORS, injection, RCE, and data sanitization) The ability to work independently and collaboratively depending on the project scope The ability to set clear expectations with internal team members The ability to follow accessibility guidelines laid out in the WCAG 2.1 specification Experience with building and interacting with RESTful APIs Compensation and Benefits Salary dependent on experience Company health insurance plans with 60% employer contribution 401k retirement plan with 4% employer matching Paid time off and sick leave Personalized workspaces (stand or sit, etc.) Open to remote and hybrid work (US only), depending on experience Snacks and drinks always available for in-person employees Friendly, small organization, great team working environment
