Be a part of Swift Transportation.Job Responsibilities: What you will doInvestigate, evaluate and resolve claims of the highest complexity; responsible for maintaining individually assigned claims and case load.
Provide support to leadership; direct and facilitate day-to-day activities while leading designated department personnel through supervision, auditing, coaching and development.Incumbents have up to $250,000 reserve authority; $100,000 settlement authority and $50,000 payment authority.Responsible for the investigation, liability and injury analysis, reserving function and plan of action to bring about the expeditious and economic resolution of the highest value claims in the department.Lead and direct external vendors, such as, but not limited to, lawyers, adjuster(s) and consultants; work closely with legalsupport leadership to control/minimize legal cost to company through fees and additional expenses.
Negotiate legal costs where applicable and in alignment with local, state and federal laws as well as company policies.Gather pertinent legal information and claims documentation to assist designated department personnel with deposition requests, identification and preparation of witnesses and other discovery.
