https://youtu.Be/ru1169YsJEcOVERVIEWProvides leadership and direction for the nursing department and other clinical services as assigned with the skilled nursing facility.Responsible for the overall coordination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to the residents.Ensures resident care delivered is consistent with current standards of care and regulatory standards.Sets the vision and goals for nursing services by identifying and articulating the strategic direction for the development of outstanding quality nursing care.May be designated to assume responsibilities of daily operations of the facility in the Administrators absence.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEYou are a graduate from an accredited RN program and have current licensure.Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s preferredThree to five years of management experience in long-term care, acute care or geriatric nursingDemonstrates broad knowledge of management; healthcare, nursing principles, procedures and practice; knowledge of legal aspects of nursing practice as it pertains to regulatory agencies (I.E., OBRA, Title 22, State nursing boards, etc.).Demonstrated knowledge base and leadership skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the provision of nursing relative to the needs.CERTIFICATION & LICENSUREYou have and maintain the following certifications:BLSCurrent RN license to practice professional nursing in CaliforniaSKILLS & KNOWLEDGEYou are able to guide patients and their families as they experience treatment plans, which can be medically complex at times.
Youre able to break down technical information in a way that everyone can clearly understand.
Youre able to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language.You are able to help your patients feel at ease and less alone by showing your passion for nursing.
