10x Genomics
The Senior Communications Manager will partner with stakeholders to help define and deliver on our company communication strategy, both internally and externally.
At 10x Genomics, we have an awesome story to tell, and we’re looking for a well-rounded, creative and motivated communicator to help us tell it.
Your primary focus will be on employee communication, helping to inform, engage and inspire current and prospective 10xers.
You’ll look for and share stories of how 10xers around the world are driving our strategy and priorities, advancing our culture and innovation engine, and making an impact on our mission to “accelerate the mastery of biology to advance human health.” You’ll help own, execute and improve on our current internal communication channels
– including our monthly All Hands Meetings and employee newsletter
– and help create and deliver new ways to keep employees in the know.
You’ll also help share our story externally, partnering with internal stakeholders and agency partners to help deliver our PR strategy.
You’ll develop news releases, media pitches and social media content to showcase our brand, culture and innovation pipeline.
This is a broad communication role, with plenty of opportunity to build, grow and make an impact.

Responsibilities Partner with the VP of Communication and work with senior leaders and functional teams to develop content for internal and external communication channels Help set and execute the internal communications strategy, including: Drive and coordinate broad employee communications, including emails, e-newsletters, monthly All Hands Meetings and more.
Collaborate with the People team to support HR-related communications and programs.
Partner with and advise senior leaders on how to communicate effectively with 10xers around the world Coordinate employee communications around important events and developments.
Work with Marketing teams and agency partners in support of our PR strategy, helping to raise awareness of the 10x brand, our culture and our robust product pipeline through news releases, briefing docs, social media content and more.
Stay on top of what’s happening at the company and find timely, creative and engaging ways to share our news and progress internally and externally.
Be an effortless writer and editor.
Develop written materials, including emails, presentations, key messages, FAQs and talking points.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, English or a related discipline is required 6 years of communications experience (internal and/or external), preferably in-house at a global public company Ability to thrive in a fluid and dynamic environment A track record of prioritizing and executing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment with a high sense of urgency Excellent written and verbal communicator who can tailor messages to a diverse set of internal and external audiences Cross-functional experience, with the ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders at all levels Strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work Preferred Qualifications Understanding of executive communications, employee engagement and channel management Ability to work in a matrixed organization, requiring coordination with multiple stakeholders including HR, Marketing and Investor Relations teams To be agile and think outside the box in internal and external communications while using sound judgment at all times Life Sciences experience is a plus About 10x Genomics At 10x Genomics, accelerating our understanding of biology is more than a mission for us.
