JOB SUMMARY The Subcontract Manager utilizes advanced negotiation skills and industry experience to translate knowledge of key commodity markets, distribution networks, transportation methods, and contract manufacturer operations into in-depth analysis in proposing supply chain solutions.

The key performance objectives for this position are described below: Coordinate with Contract Manufacturers to resolve issues that occur during Production and the Development process.
Expediently resolve any identified program material quality problems that occur.
Coordinate new program activity
– work closely with Program Management, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and other Astronics stakeholders to meet program objectives.
Support component selection and AVL by identifying risky component, process and supplier selections and suggesting alternate selections.
Assure DFM and CMP feedback from Suppliers before final designs and drawings are released.
Issue RFQs to suppliers during the bid
